An offshoot of humanity that claims to come from the stars, the talarin are masters of the mind. Wielding their alien powers of psionics, most talaire are gentle souls who seek only peace and quiet contemplation, but rouse themselves at the mention of their ancient enemies: the mind flayers.

Ability Score Increase Increase your Wisdom by 2, and your Intelligence by 1.

Mental Might As a master of your own mind, you have developed defenses against certain attacks. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or possessed (as by a ghost’s possession attack), and are immune to spells and abilities that require you to dream (such as the dream spell).

Insightful You have training in the Insight skill.

Telepathy Telepathy is a magical ability that allows you to communicate mentally with another creature within 30 feet. The target doesn’t need to share a language with you to communicate in this way with it, but it must be able to understand at least one language. A creature without telepathy can receive and respond to telepathic messages but can’t initiate or terminate a telepathic conversation.

You don’t need to see the target and can end the telepathic contact at any time. The contact is broken as soon as you are no longer within range of each other or if you contact a different creature within range. You can initiate or terminate a telepathic conversation without using an action, but while you are incapacitated, you can’t initiate telepathic contact, and any current contact is terminated.

Cloud Minds You can project a burst of mental static into the minds of your enemies. Every foe within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom save (use your Wisdom as your casting ability for this save). Those that fail take disadvantage on all attack rolls for the next round. You must complete a long rest before using this power again.
